Is Bill Morphing Into Prince?

MTV Buzzworthy has published a new article suggesting that Bill could be slowly becoming something like Prince. This comes after seeing how Bill was dressed after the premiere of Arthur und die Minimoys 2 this past weekend. Check out the full article below.

Let’s hope so! Here’s the Tokio Hotel frontman at the premiere of Arthur und die Minimoys 2 – Die Rueckkehr des Boesen M’ (Arthur 2) — he voiced the part of Arthur — at Cinestar Sony Center movie theater in Berlin this weekend. And boy, does Bill got that purp!

Bill Kaulitz was resplendent in the royal color, an enormous (yet chic!) granny sweater, and platform wedges, which made us think perhaps he’s making a not-so-subtle nod to the original Purple rocker, Prince.

And why not? Both Bill and Prince have a flamboyantly charismatic stage presence, as well as a penchant for gravity-defying hair and sparkles. And both Bill and Prince command undying support from an army of loyal followers.

    Wow, can people stop comparing Bill to other people? Is it so weird for him to be his own person, and go his own way? :/

    hmmmm, this is the only time i have seen him wearing this much purple….how can people say that about him over one outfit?

    Compliment or not, I think it’s rude to always compare him to others or think he’s gay. Wow, him wearing so much purple for a damn movie makes him a copy or other unique guys >.<

    I think it’s a great compliment and I think it’s impossible to look at anyone and not see the slightest bit of influence from previous artists, whether intentional or not. Because I don’t think Bill intentionally tries to copy anyone. I definitely see the similarities between Prince and Bill

    Wow! That’s an extremely great compliment for anyone. Prince, is like, a MAJOR music icon (well, to me at least) Prince and Bill Kaulitz in the same sentence is like some kind of special nirvana.

    God what is this? First, people compare him to Michael Jackson and now this? I’m so sick of people comparing him to others. It’s like people think its impossible for anyone to develop their own style these days.

    And at the same time, Lambert’s being accused of copying Bill. Whether that true or not doesn’t even matter. I’m just tied of seeing “so and so copying so and so” and crap like that.

    Bill Kaulitz has his own style, if he is being compared to Prince, well I say WAY TO GO BILL, PRINCE is an amazing singer, producer, writer, he has been around for a very long time. Bill you ROCK.

    Bill is Bill, he is unique and has different style and i think he just himself.

    I know Bill is Bill, but if hes being compared to such fantastic singers like Prince and MJ then whats the problem? i’m glad hes being reconized for that, and love the fact that people would assume that. But i love Bill much, much, MUCH more.
