Videos from “El Evento 40″ in Mexico

Last night Tokio Hotel performed at MTVla’s “El Evento 40″ in Mexico City, Mexico. They played “Automatic”, “World Behind My Wall”, and “Ready, Set, Go!”, but used playback because, I assume, they didn’t get a soundcheck. Check out the videos below!

  1. is it me or in world behind my wall the boys are playin like “blah this sucks”… Bill looks great!

  2. in World behind my wall, they are raelly playing like “blah this sucks…” but to me it really looks like Bill tries to sing over the playback…:} you know what! I think they wanted to play totally live, not just pretending to sing and play…. I think that’s why…. :)

or they were just very tired… :|

  3. Well the fans don’t look so much into it either… and it looks like they want to play live too… you can tell..

and its almost boring to watch them play a concert with playback…. you can’t hear Bill’s Adorable accent… D:

oh and 0.37- 0.40 it looks like the smoke is coming out of Tom’s butt… which made me laugh really hard… XD

  4. LMAO @ Miranda. It’s true :P Maybe he had some jalapeño prior to the show!!!

  5. I almost believed World Behind my Walls was live, because when live in Athens it sounded that good too, but the ‘Whoao woa woa’ part only works if the other three sing it too as back up and you can tell they only partly did it.

Maybe this was a last minute gig or something, but they really didn’t look like they wanted to use playback. Wonder if the other bands used playback too? If it was necessary because of the venue or something?

  6. Ready Set Go was live, not the other two. Hope Bill isn’t have voice problems again.

  7. Well, sometimes it happens that the singer is a bit sick and can’t sing. In the interview from altitudetv Tom was coughing and his voice wasn’t very good, maybe Bill got a bit sick too.
What is important is that we know he can sing live. It only sucks for the Mexican fans, but once on tour they’ll only play live.

  8. I think all three songs were playback, but the boys love playing live. There must be a VERY good reason why they didn’t.
Bill is looking better and better. So sexy, sexy and hawt!
I love his angry eyes, and everything around them.

  9. hahahaha xD sucks for them mexican fans. that’s what they get. lmao. just kidding. im mexican too! anywyas, i hope their not getting sickk. :/ it would suck.

  10. nah.. they just didn’t get to do a shoudcheck..that’s why they used playback.. the altitude interview was recorded a while back..(the day after the LA signing)
I don’t think they’re sick.. they sounded really good in the press conference and overall they’ve been in a great mood.. no need to worry.

  11. @eugie73
wow you really do break the fan age barriers!

  12. lol Eugie XDD I kept my eye out for that part lolol.

& Yeahh, it did lack the usual energy D; Those guys are probably still recovering from the EMAs. I can’t imagine the amount of effort that went into that performance at the EMAs.

  13. Its kinda obvious that its playback, cos in real life they’d play automatic in a lower key and bill always goes to high keys in like this really cute but weird way. :)
Anyhoo, all the same they still rock heehee.

  14. Well, I think they come here few days, to bring with them all the show, no time to soundcheck. If that happens in a full concert on his tour, that really could make me angry.
But I appreciate they come to visit us to present Humanoid in Mexico.

  15. Bills legs are so SKINNYY!
