Videos from Mexico Signing & Press Conference

We now have videos from Tokio Hotel’s signing for Mixup in Cuicuilco, Mexico. They signed the 500 autographs in about 40 minutes, but the table was really high and they almost had to lean over to see the fans. They also had a press conference, but spoke German and I don’t have a translation. If you speak German, the videos are below. Enjoy!

BILL: Well, it feels so nice, yesterday Tom told me at the hotel “We flew 12 hours, we arrive to a place where they do listen to our music, they like our music, we have so much success, the new album has been well-received” it feels super nice.
BILL: Of course we’re going to sign everything we promised, and we hope that everyone who made a long trip, come back to their houses happy.
Bill: Oh, the truth is, we didnt have a specifc inspiration, we just simply went to the studio, we gathered our ideas to write. And also the music we based on is very varied, we have a group that we based on and inspired us. And the fact that everything is so science-fiction it simply came out, we didnt plan it at tall.
BILL: In some way, very similar to a day like today. With more wrinkles, more rings under the eyes, but making music, we can’t not really imagine a future out from Tokio Hotel. Let’s hope we’re in a stage making music.
BILL: At this moment, we’re planning our European Tour, we will have 32 concerts, next year, and we work with very good people, the stage will be awesome, the production are really good workers and we dont have dates for Latin America yet, but we’re going to pay live all year, we will be in Mexico that’s for sure, but we don’t know the dates yet.
BILL: I’ve always hated advices, “Do this or that”, we have to do what you want, the ones who says “I want to realize a dream” I answer that- (Tom burped)
BILL: That’s what I want to say, we have to be ourselves, do and admit what you feel, and live according to that, you have to have fun too. And what the others say, its not worth it, we have always lived like this, with our own philosophy. that its what it matters and how we feel, what the labels says its not important, we want to still being ourselves, that’s the most important thing, you have fun and have success, but also for succes you need luck, we have been very lucky and we’re very grateful for it.
BILL: We have worked so much time on the cover, we worked with a lot of people. And as an artist you always have a vision that gets plastered in an image, videos, that are with you on the process.
TOM: This wasn’t the first cover we did, we did one first and Bill didn’t like it, he wanted to be only him, and he removed us. So we couldn’t be there, we’re sorry but it can’t be helped.
BILL: It was very important for us, of course, and not only for us, for the whole world. It was important the quality of the wall, we wouldn’t be here, we wouldn’t have this appearance, we wouldn’t have made all this, if the wall wouldn’t have fell. So it’s true, we only know ‘One Germany’ as a single country and the rest we know what our parents told us. Also, in Berlin, at the EMAs was very important for us, the night was fabulous, our show was really good, and the price was awesome.
BILL: Who was better than us, it was David Hasselhoff.
TOM: About the reality show, it’s not true, but it’s ok, why not, we could do that. And the fan presents, we haven’t received anything yet, because we haven’t been in contact with them so we hope that changes soon.
TOM: We don’t try to be according to a stereotype, we’re only us. So maybe that’s why sometimes its weird we’re together, because optically, we don’t look good together, but that’s what we are, we dress as we want and done. And Georg loves the dance part, that’s what he likes, but apart from that, nothing.

BILL: Honestly, we don’t know what’s going on, we think it’s a thing created by the media.TOM: It’s not an Internet thing that just came out, because between the bands and fans it doesnt exist such rivalry, also we can’t be compared really. We don’t see that.
BILL: It could have chosen any other city, we chose that one because we liked it. Somebody had the idea-
Tom: Somebody? it was ME.

BILL: Tom had this idea of gave this name, the condition was some place we didn’t know. It could have been Mexico too because we didn’t know it. Everything was new from that, we didn’t know what we were getting into. We didn’t know what our life was going to be, we chose that name somewhat randomly.

The table was so HIGH because on last year’s signing one of the fans who throw herself at Tom, that’s why TH’s manager asked for a higher table… at least that’s what the security of the place told us!

I’m sure there have been more incidents elsewhere like this video of a signing that I saw in youtube that was held in Spain and some girl insistantly grab Tom and kiss him in the cheek.
lol they probably did that not because of the girl who threw herself at Tom but because of the swine flu!

From a car accident, to performing in his homeland, to coming to Mexico for interviews, signing and singing — of course, they are tired. But they still go on and do what they have to do. They don’t take any of it for granted.
